The Rise of the Shepherd Warrior

I saw Jesus last night in a vision.  As I was preparing to go to sleep I saw Christ appear in a vision as a Shepherd holding a staff.  I heard this is the army of the Lord, meaning that those that would rise up in this hour would have the same countenance as Christ as I was seeing him in this vision.

He was looking into the heavens and divine light was radiating on his face.  I couldn't see what he was looking at but he was surrounded by the glory of God.  In a way he was a very delicate fellow, not one that you would suppose to be a member of a army that would fight against the devil and his minions and yet that was what was spoken over him.

I felt that he was vulnerable but I believe that it was this vulnerability and trust in God that were his greatest assets.

When we trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding then God is able to make a straight path for us (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We don't have to be strong.  We don't have to be highly trained warriors.  We just need to trust God and his ability to save us.  It was this trust and understanding that helped David defeat Goliath.  He didn't look at the giant of a man standing in front of him but rather he looked to his God.  And in looking to his God he was able to cut the head off the giant and send the enemy fleeing.

In this hour I believe the Goliaths will stand and little men and women of God will stand in defiance of them.  There is a warrior shepherd that is on the rise, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper.  They are overcoming by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony.  They know their God and he has set them free.  They understand his strength and power to save.

They might look weak on the outside just like Christ did in my vision, but we know what he accomplished by submitting to the work on the cross.  Each of us will have opportunitiy to stand or run in this hour.  I pray that you will have the strength to stand and when you have done all you can to stand even firmer.

The greatest American war hero in Word War II was a young man by the name of Audy Murphy.  He was about 5 feet 6 inches tall and he weighed 130 pounds.  He didn't let that stop him.  He didn't let what others believed in him determine his bravery.  He stood in the face of opposition and resisted and took out 4 tanks and almost 80 men single handedly.  He did this standing on a burning tank firing a machine gun.  The tank could have exploded, but he didn't care.  He just knew what he had to do and did it.

I believe that this same spirit is rising up now in the generation at hand and the devil who seems to have great strength is about to be destroyed by the little Audy Murphy's who believe in something bigger than themselves.  This is the hour of the Shepherd Warrior.  It is your hour and I pray that you will step into the battle to see what the Lord will do.

Stumbling Blocks to seeing Angels

One of the major blocks that I have come to understand that stops people from seeing into the supernatural realm is wanting to see in a particular way.

They might imagine that seeing into the spirit must occur in some sort of way and because it doesn't occur that way they become closed to seeing in the way that God would have them see.

This might occur because someone they respected or admired saw in a particular way and so they came to believe that this was the only legitimate way to see.  But just as there are many sorts of ministries and many sorts of people there are many sorts of ways to see.  God is not limited by how he can show you angels in the supernatural realm, so ask God to open your eyes to see the way he wants you to see.

I remember many years ago people at a church I attended were longing to see angels and they tried to convince me that you would see something move near the ceiling of the church because that is how they wanted to see it.

Well, I knew this was ridiculous from the start.  I would tell the people I had seen angels many times in my dreams and they would say stuff like, "well that is not really seeing."  This was also a ridiculous thought to me because seeing is seeing no matter how you see it.

And then I learned from scripture that many of the people who encountered angels like Mary, Joseph, the Magi, and Jacob actually saw them in dreams, and so it legitimized my experience.

If we limit our seeing to our preconceived notions we will not likely see.

And remember the scripture that says, "Be sure to entertain strangers for in so doing some have hosted angels without knowing."

I see angels everyday, but the way I see them is always different.  If I described the way I saw them to some they would likely say, "that is not an angel, because it wasn't the way they expected to see it."

The Lord will show you these things because you are a new creation in Christ seated in heavenly places.  It is by his grace and not something we earn.  it is something we access by faith.

If you confess over yourself that you do not see then you will not likely see because you have placed yourself in a position where what you are saying already defines what you allow yourself to see.

If you say I see in the spirit and angels visit me all of the time then you would be stating a truth because in the spirit this is truth.  You are part of a much bigger kingdom in Christ.  The angelic is always present near believers.  Experiencing them and communicating with them is our inheritance.
